About Dakshayani Velayudhan

Dakshayani Velayudhan (4 July 1912 โ€“ 20 July 1978) was an Indian social reformer, politician, and advocate for women’s rights. She played a significant role in the Indian independence movement and later served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the state of Madras (now Tamil Nadu). Dakshayani Velayudhan dedicated her life to promoting social equality and empowering marginalized communities.
